My Introduction

Hello! My name is Melissa Regelstad. I am an associate professor and program coordinator of an early childhood education program at a community college. One of my passions lies within educating young children and families. I have worked in education for over 20 years, with over half of those years being in classrooms with young learners. I am now working with preservice teachers who share my passion. I believe it is important to be educated on the latest research and advocate for the needs of young children and their families. I am currently taking additional graduate courses in the early childhood field. This is my first blog. Over the next few weeks, my posts will focus on building relationships, childhood play, and daily supports as well as how these three areas impact development.
